The rules for using the DriverGuide website and app.
Last updated 3 November 2026.
Draft for legal review. The parts in [BRACKETS] are facts we still have to fill in, and a lawyer has not yet checked this text.
The DriverGuide website and app are published by Frimpong Studios, an independent developer based in Ghana ([YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME TBC], [ADDRESS IN GHANA TBC]; "we", "us"). By using them you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
DriverGuide gives you short lessons and questions about road rules, set out as a road trip. It is for learning. It does not replace a driving instructor, the official highway code or handbook, or your licensing test, and passing the lessons does not mean you will pass a test or that you are fit to drive. We are not part of, or approved by, any government or licensing authority.
You may use DriverGuide for your own learning, not for resale, and only as these terms allow.
We write lessons from official sources, and the app lists them. We work to keep them right and current, but rules change, are applied differently in different places, and we can make mistakes. Where a lesson and the law or a road sign disagree, the law and the sign win. If you spot a mistake, tell us at [CONTACT EMAIL TBC].
Samples, such as example prices or example businesses shown in the app or on this website, are for illustration and are not real offers.
The app is not released yet. Joining the waitlist is free. It means we will use your email or Ghana phone number to tell you once when DriverGuide opens in the country you picked. It does not promise that we will open in that country, or when. You can ask to be taken off the list at any time at [CONTACT EMAIL TBC]. Only give us your own contact details, and you must be 16 or older. Every message has an unsubscribe link. Text alerts are for Ghana numbers only, and standard message charges from your network may apply.
Friends are by invitation: you add people by their code, handle or search, and they must accept. The "one phone call" in the game is a question sent to a friend's app. It is not a real phone call and does not use your voice, your minutes or your network's calling service. A friend may not answer, and a call ends after 3 minutes. You can remove a friend at any time. Don't send friend requests to people who have said no, or use the friends features to bother anyone.
Please don't:
The lessons, questions, drawings, maps, characters, the DriverGuide name and logo, and the app itself belong to us or our licensors, and they are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and its content for your own learning. If you got the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard licence terms for apps also apply, and Apple is not a party to these terms. Support for the app, and any claim about it, is for us to deal with, not Apple or Google. Official road signs and laws belong to their authorities; we show them for teaching. Characters, officers, businesses, car makes and ads shown in the game are made up, unless the app says an offer is real; any likeness to a real person or business is by chance. What you write in your profile stays yours, and you allow us to show it to the people you choose as the app describes.
The app shows ads on its map. Advertisers are responsible for their own ads and offers, and we don't promise that any offer is right for you. See the Privacy Policy for how ads and your data are handled.
Lessons and test preparation are free. DriverGuide Plus is an optional paid subscription with extra features. It is not on sale yet. When it is:
You can stop using DriverGuide whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account, or stop a feature, if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if it puts others or the service at risk. We will tell you why when we can. We may also change or stop parts of the service, and when we do we will give you reasonable notice where we can.
DriverGuide is provided "as is". We don't promise that it will always be available, error-free or suit your needs. We are not responsible for losses that come from relying on it in place of the law, official guidance, an instructor or a licensing test, or for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected. [CONFIRM WITH A LAWYER]
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana can decide disputes, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim, or to have the law of your own country apply, somewhere else. We would like to sort out any problem with you first: please write to [CONTACT EMAIL TBC] before taking other steps. [CONFIRM WITH A LAWYER]
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or paid plans. We will change the date above, and for important changes we will tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using DriverGuide after a change, you accept it.
